CMFG – Chaguanas Multi Faith Group

The Chaguanas MultiFaith Group was formed in 2018 and is comprised of many of the various Faith based organizations in Central Trinidad. There have been ongoing meetings since inception to curb the many challenges faced in the community. We have been working together with the Protective Services, the Chaguanas Borough Corporation, Independent Organizations and the Business Communities in Chaguans and Cunupia. Some highlights of the CMFG are:

In January 2019 – hosted by the US Embassy – most leaders of the Faith Based organizations attended a training program facilitated by Imam Mohamed Majid from the USA on ‘My Neighbors keepers” which aims at fostering relationships between faith based groups and then engage them in building neighborhoods and cities that are more interconnected and resilient to hate and violence.

During 2019 – Continuous assessment at Chaguanas South Secondary to conduct research for this project.
In May 2019 attended an iftar – breaking of the fast in Ramadan at the Santa Cruz Masjid
In June 2019 – ‘Eid 2019 celebration at the RYU Dojo Empowerment Center in Enterprise
